More about us
Joubert-Tradauw is a boutique cellar in the Tradouw Valley near Barrydale, with a unique micro-climate. The cool south-easter from the Atlantic Ocean, flows over the Langeberge, resulting in diverse day – and night temperatures.
Only 20% of the grapes are selected to produce classic, well-balanced and integrated wine in an European style that compliments food. Focus is on little intervention and solid agriculture practices.
Deli Alfresco at Joubert-Tradauw
The Deli Alfresco at Joubert-Tradauw Vineyards and Cellar, welcomes visitors for a tasting of their award-winning boutique wines. This al fresco deli specializes in Klein Karoo tapas, different tastes and combinations to stimulate your senses and complement the wines. Fresh bread is baked daily, local preserves and deli produce are available to take away.
Come and relax in this beautiful setting overlooking the Langeberge, enjoy the Mediteranean ambiance on a working farm (al fresco style!) and share unique experiences in wine-making, terroir and food that will stay with you forever. Come ‘taste the Klein Karoo…!’
For deli bookings, please contact Beate at +27 (0)82 3049 000 or beate@joubert-tradauw.com (Winter: By appointment only!)
Meet the winemaker
Meyer Joubert of Joubert-Tradauw Private Cellar’s first love is nature, but he feels blessed with the unique terroir. He makes very special wines because it comes from the earth and one can taste it in his wines, one is able to taste their beloved Tradouw valley, in all its dimensions. Furthermore, Meyer makes wine because he loves to eat the best food (Klein Karoo tapas his favourite) and drink good wines.
His favourite wine from the cellar
The barrel-fermented Chardonnay. It is a style unique to the valley.
