Tastings &
Functions
Our tasting facility
is an intimate and rustic styled room
dating from the late 1800's that leads
out to our wine garden - this gives our
tasting facility a warm and inviting
feel. It's wooden floor and oregan pine
ceiling portrays a feel of yesteryear
although stylish decorated and newly
revamped.
We have a personal
and interactive approach that makes our
customers come back for more. We use
quality stemware, correct refrigeration,
correct lighting and offer ample
information to make your preferred
choice when buying our unique wines as
easy as possible.
Our private
conference facility can host 30 people
seated for private tastings or corporate
meetings and workshops. We cater for
small intimate weddings, private
functions and year-end functions.
Karusa is the only
working vineyard and winery to cater for
these functions in Oudtshoorn. The
backdrop of the Swartberg and the
meticulously cared for vineyards makes
this the perfect photo shoot for your
wedding - with the beautiful Cango
Valley church a stone’s throw away.

The R328, known
as the "Cango Route" is 30 km long and stretches
north from Oudtshoorn to the foot of the great
Swartberg. It is the most traveled route in the
Klein Karoo region - with some of the most
visited tourist destinations in South Africa.
The route offers a diversity of activities,
accommodation and a scenic drive through the
Cango Valley. Must do activities and places to
visit include the Cango Caves, Cango Wildlife
Ranch, Cango Ostrich farm, Buffelsdrift Game
Reserve, Swartberg Adventures, Wilgewandel
Holiday farm and Karusa Vineyards.
The Cango Route is the entrance to the Cango
Caves and entrance to the Great Karoo across the
Swartberg pass. Please visit our website
