Boplaas showed once again why it is rated as one of the best
Port producers in South Africa at the Peter Schulz Excellence
Awards for Port 2008. Boplaas won the trophies for Best Port in
South Africa for the fourth consecutive time, this time with the
Boplaas Cape Tawny Port N/V.
The Boplaas Cape Vintage Reserve
Port 2005 won the Vintage Port class, the Boplaas Cape Ruby Port
thee Ruby Port class (joined with Du Toits Kloof) and the
Boplaas Cape Tawny Port N/V came the Tawny Port class.
Dave Hughes, chairman of this independent panel and chairman of
the Port panel of the International Wine and Spirits
Competition, said that the winning ports are world class and can
compete with the best of Portugal.
